LECA (Lightweight Expanded Clay Aggregate) clay balls are small, light balls made of clay that has been fired at a high temperature to make it expand and create air pockets. Leca balls are often added to the potting soil or used as a growing medium in gardening and hydroponics.
How to Use:
- LECA clay balls can be mixed with indoor potting mix and can be used for indoor plants.
- LECA Clay balls are used to fill the base of the self watering pots to improve the drainage. This also creates a reservoir of water that the plant can draw from when needed.
- Add a layer of LECA clay balls on top of the potting soil/potting medium for indoor plants and orchids as a top dressing to retain moisture and reduce evaporation.
